Our Bios

Peggy Scheradella
I live in Goldendale and am retired from working at Dallesport Elementary for 33 years. I was a Title I reading instructor primarily. Also enjoyed working with students in youth musicals for 27 years with designing backdrops, costuming, and props. Did class art projects also. I live with my loving husband, George, and have two great grown children, Jim and Valerie, that we are very proud of. Jim has two children, Devin is 21 (Wow!) and a senior at Oregon State University, and Bailey is 15 and a sophomore in High School.

Wendy Stone
Age 64 due to be 65 on September 12. I am a certified nurse midwife (blessed to be called for this purpose). I was married for 45 year 3 months and 6 days to my high school sweetheart; Lowell Stone. I have had awesome support from church family, my family and friends since Lowell's death last year. He was a believer! I have 4 sons; 4 granddaughters , 1 grandson and another due to be delivered 8/28/2017.
I accepted Christ at age 4 (can still remember). I seek to find His purpose for me when I retire next year! I am looking forward to this study!

Annie Normandeau
Wife of one, mom of three: Cori, 16 yrs, James, 15 yrs and Will, almost 9 yrs old. I live in a small rural town in Ronan, Montana. I teach computer skills classes to 2nd, 3rd & 4th graders. Most of my time is filled with attending and supporting their many sports and activities. I haven't been in a group Bible Study in a few years. I miss it because growing in my faith and being able to share it with others is my favorite thing to do! Right now, I'm reading a book on prayer and getting back in the habit of praying more consistently. Thanks for joining us on this Bible Study adventure!

Penny Line
Most of you know me well, but here goes. This December, Gene and I will have been married for six years. (Marriage is always challenging. Try remarrying in your 60s! God is teaching me a lot!)
I have three grown children, two sons and a daughter who is co-leading this group with me. She will keep me from blowing up the internet. I also have eight GRANDkids between the ages of 6 - 16.
Gene and I are snowbirds living in Goldendale, WA in warmer months and Ft Myers, Florida in the winter. I plan to continue substitute teaching in Oregon and Florida at least one more year. (I stay with friends in the Portland area, because I have contacts and work there from before I remarried.) It's an unusual lifestyle, but it's ours right now.
I haven't been in a women's Bible study in years - partially due to our current lifestyle, - so I'm looking toward to this techy version. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us!

Betty Richards
Penny said to write something about myself. Not one of my favorite things. I am, first of all, the daughter of the King, Jesus! I was raised on a farm outside of Goldendale Washington, and live there now. I'm a farmer's daughter, and I loved it. I have two younger brothers, and am the mother of four: Julie, Jeff, Jay, and Jim. I have granddaughters, Katley, 28, Allyssa, 19, Tara, 18, and one grandson, Erik, 25. I'm proud of all of them! I've been in many other Bible studies, but it's been a while. For the past 25 years, I've owned my own business, Betty's Home Specialties. I do senior and pet care, cleaning, painting, and cooking. You name it. I've probably done it. One of the fun things I've been able to do is visit every one of our beautiful states. (West Virginia was the last one.) Over the last 12 years, I've traveled to more than 15 countries with a high school girl friend. We've chronicled it all with maps, photos, and stories in a booklet of over 200 pages. And we're not finished traveling! I enjoy people, reading, traveling, cooking, hiking and dancing. My attitude is every day is the best day of my life with Jesus. He will see us through the good and bad times. I'm looking forward to this time of learning more about Him and each other. My life verses are Matthew 6:33,34 and Matthew 7:7.

Heather Coats
The bio. I love God and Jesus!! My other love is my husband of 37 years. He takes me hunting and fishing. We live outside of Molalla in the foothills of the Cascades. We have 2 daughters, that live in Rock Springs, Wyoming, with their husbands, and my awesome granddaughter, Sadie Jean. She is four and a cowgirl (she told me so!) My God given ability is dog training with a passion for Labradors. I am enjoying the Bible study – I was a little overwhelmed with all the writing, but once I got into it, I actually enjoy the writing. (God must be helping me with that.) I look forward to it every morning.
Thank you ðŸ˜Š , Annie and Penny for facilitating this study.

Kelly Adley
Single mom of 2 boys, Dawson 13 years old and Ethan age 10. Born and raised in Polson, Montana. Kelly is fun, artistic and creative. She likes to make things for people and she's a gift giver. She's a happy and cheerful person who spreads JOY to others. She also connects with and enjoys music! Please pray for God's best job opportunity for Kelly and that her boys would get into the school she wants.

Amber Vorce
Amber and Dusty Vorce live in Goldendale, Washington and have six children: Elliott 13, Jamus 9, Oakley 5, ElsieJo 4, Teya 2, and Lybie about 8 months. Because Dusty is in the police academy until January 5, Amber has even more responsibility as a parent (along with homeschooling). ;)

I think my mom already shared our "prayer pictures" or visions for all of us as a group: we are all gathering in closer to the campfire ðŸ”¥ (in a circle) holding hands. Look! There is room for more... The fire is The Holy Spirit and as we get closer as a group, we ALL draw nearer to Christ.
❤️ how we are learning the Names of God: about His character.

The other prayer picture we have is that we are a set of THREE triple braided cords hanging from above.

As Ecclesiastes 4:12 says:
MSG vs. 12 By yourself you're unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn't easily snapped.NIV vs. 12  Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Comments

  1. Here's how we can pray for each other:

We are suggesting that each of us pray specifically for the gal whose name is below ours. Here's the alphabetical list we use when praying for all of you:

    Amber
    Annie
    Betty
    Heather
    Kelly
    Marlowe
    Peggy
    Penny
    Wendy

For example, Annie would pray for Betty and Penny would pray for Wendy. Wendy would pray for Amber, etc.
